Sika®-1 is a liquid form, ready-to-use waterproofing additive used to increase water impermeability in mortar and concrete systems. It creates an effective barrier against water transmission by blocking capillary gaps and pores in cementitious systems. In plaster, screed and concrete applications; It can be used safely in areas that are constantly or periodically exposed to water, especially in basements, swimming pools, tunnels, water tanks, manholes and culverts. It can be applied in reinforced and unreinforced concrete; Provides high performance on brick, concrete and stone surfaces. Thanks to its easy-to-apply structure, it can be used by adding it to the mixing water. When applied with the correct dosage, it significantly increases the water impermeability of mortar and concrete and contributes to the longevity of the structure. Sika®-1 : Water ratio (normal conditions): 1 : 10 This ratio corresponds to approximately 3% of the binder weight In case of using very wet sand: Ratio can be increased up to 1:8 or 1:6 Note: It is recommended to make trial mixtures before application to determine the exact dosage and amount of water.
