Product Description

Sikadur®-31 is a solvent-free, moisture-tolerant, thixotropic, two-component epoxy-based adhesive and repair mortar. Thanks to its structure containing epoxy resins and special fillings, it provides high adhesion and strength on many different surfaces. Both bonding and filling/repair operations can be performed with a single product. It does not sag in vertical and overhead applications, does not require a primer and hardens without shrinkage. Concrete and mortar surfaces must be at least 28 days old Surface strength should be checked and, if necessary, a tensile test should be performed. Concrete, stone and brick surfaces: Must be solid, dry and clean Cement slurry, oil, grease, ice, standing water and loose parts must be completely removed Steel surfaces: Suitable quality sandblasting should be done Must be cleaned with vacuum Dew point conditions should be avoided On polyester and epoxy surfaces: Primer should be applied after surface preparation. Sikadur®-31 should be applied while the primer is still wet (wet on wet). Primers containing silicone or silicone oil should not be used Application Instructions Ambient and surface temperature: +10 °C – +30 °C Surface temperature must be at least 3 °C above dew point Components A and B are mixed until a homogeneous gray color is obtained. Transfer the mixture to a clean bowl and mix at low speed for 1 more minute. Only the amount that can be used within the pot life should be prepared. Application Method: As adhesive: spatula, trowel, notched trowel or by hand As repair mortar: it is recommended to use mold For vertical metal profile bonding: Max. 5 mm application thickness Must be supported with outriggers for at least 12 hours Control: Adhesion after hardening can be checked with a light hammer blow to the surface.
